As of July 2022, calling 988 provides compassionate, accessible care and support for anyone experiencing mental health-related distress – whether that is thoughts of suicide, mental health or substance use crisis, or any other kind of emotional distress. As of November 2022, 988 callers now have the option of pressing 4 to connect to an all-Native team who is familiar with historical, intergenerational trauma, self care and more traditional elements.

Text the word “NATIVE” to 741741 and you’ll be connected with a trained crisis counselor - ​free, confidential, and available 24/7.

Native Connections Mission

The health and well-being of the Colville Tribal members is of the utmost priority for the tribal leadership, and the most sacred trust the membership can bestow upon the leadership of the tribal council. The health and wellness of tribal members encompass the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual elements of life. The CCT Tribal Council are committed and invested in reducing health disparities by promoting a range of health services that incorporates indigenous cultural modalities to best serve the tribal communities.
